The cutthroat ladies of B.R.A.W.L. (Broads Regional Arm Wrestling League) are ready for our annual outdoor rumble. Are you?
No door fee but bring crisp BIG dollar bills to sponsor your favorite wrestler! Money placed on “bets” goes to a local organization that benefits women and girls.
This month we are going to the table for:
Ulster County Crime Victims Assistance Services
> Crisis Intervention
> Emotional support and short-term counseling
> Accompaniment to hospitals, police and courts
> Advocacy with police, courts and District Attorney
> Information and follow-up on case status in Criminal and Family Courts
> Help with arrangements for temporary shelter
> Assistance in filing a claim with the NY State Crime Victims Board for reimbursement of medical and counseling costs, lost wages and funeral expenses, etc.
> Referral to other agencies
> Support groups
> Victim Impact Statements
